Story by M.H Sim, pictures by Azfar Hashim - 26 Feb 2008
Doing their bit for charity, the top three teams from The Amazing Race Asia 2 spent one fine Saturday afternoon at the Caltex station in Lorong Chuan - to wash cars and at the same time, raise funds for the Society for the Physically Disabled (SPD).

Gym buddies Collin Low and Adrian Yap, the winning Singaporean team of The Amazing Race Asia 2, took an active part in a charity car wash last weekend sponsored by Caltex to benefit the Society for the Physically Disabled (SPD).  This was the second year Caltex organized the charity car wash in conjunction with The Amazing Race Asia Season 2.

In addition to Team Singapore, second place team Pamela and Vanessa Chong from Malaysia and third place team Marc Nelson and Rovilson Fernandez from the Philippines also rolled up their sleeves and washed cars for charity.

When asked, Team Singapore's Adrian said, "The Caltex Charity Car Wash was a great event and we enjoyed it. Giving back to the community especially the underprivileged is something we support very much". Team mate Collin, shares the exact came sentiment too: "We were very excited to be part of this worthwhile Caltex-sponsored charity event. Everyone got wet and dirty for charity, but it was fun!".

Caltex raised a total of $31,500 for the Society for the Physically Disabled through this charity event.
