COE prices for passenger cars fell by as much as $3,104 as demand for new cars weaken. Cat A COE saw the biggest drop, closing at $29,000 from $32,104 the last round. The COEs for cars above 1,600cc went for $42,810, a slight drop from $43,334. Open cat COEs, which can be used to register both Cat A and Cat B passenger cars saw a slight increase to $43,501, a rise of $600 from the last round.
COE prices for Cat A for cars below 1600cc fell to $32,104 after reaching a high of more than $36k two weeks ago. Demand for Cat B COEs still seem to be high as prices in this category are up from $42,889 two weeks ago to $43,339 this time round.
Cat A COE premiums dip $2,009 to close at $29,501 while Cat B prices fell by $4,002 to close at $35,909 after the latest round of bidding which closed on Wednesday.

COE prices saw mixed results after the end of the latest bidding exercise that ended on Wednesday. While Cat A COE prices saw an increase, Cat B COEs meant for bigger cars saw its premium dip by over $3,000. Needless to say, car distributors have adjusted their prices.
