The Mégane Renaultsport is widely acclaimed by many as the benchmark hot hatch, but on the off chance it isn’t quite exclusive enough for some, then Renault has the answer with the launch of a new limited edition, the Mégane Renaultsport Red Bull Racing RB8. In fact, exclusivity is virtually guaranteed with a batch of just 30 destined for our shores.
The exclusive Twilight Blue finish takes its inspiration directly from the race team’s famous colours, while Red Bull Racing graphics at the rear and on the sides are further tell-tale hallmarks of this limited edition car. In addition to its sporty credentials, it stands out as particularly elegant, too, thanks to exterior Platinum Grey details which contrast with the striking Twilight Blue paintwork. Last but not least, a monochrome laurel on the rear side windows celebrates the team’s 2012 Constructors’ world title.

Inside, the new limited edition version comes with a number of exclusive features, including Red Bull Racing branding on the numbered aluminium kickplates and carpet mats. The same logo appears on the headrests of the Recaro seats which are trimmed in a new leather/fabric upholstery.
This limited edition version marks the availability of the built-in, connected R-Link multimedia tablet for the Mégane Renaultsport range. The system’s six functions (navigation, telephony, multimedia, vehicle, systems and R-Link Store applications catalogue) are controlled using either the touch screen display, the voice command function or the joystick situated on the centre console.
Along with R-Link, there is now also the 2.0 version of Renaultsport Monitor which fans of sporty driving will particularly appreciate. Owners will no longer need to choose between using the navigation or on-board telemetry systems thanks to the fact that the TomTom Live navigation system is built-in.
The limited edition version packs the same fundamental features as Mégane Renaultsport 265 Cup, including stiffer springs, dampers, anti-roll bar, limited slip differential, grooved discs with Brembo callipers and the potent two-litre-turbocharged 265hp engine with Stop&Start and trademark Renaultsport technologies.

The Peugeot stand is promising to be an exciting centre-point with a 208 GTi inspired ‘flow rider’ surf experience placed between new RCZ Sports Coupé, 208 GTi, luxurious 208 XY and competition versions of 208 on display. Participation in the ‘Enjoy the Ride’ GTi activity links fun, thrill and agility with control, to experience speed of a different kind, with the chance to ‘ride the waves’ and can be pre-booked ahead of the day itself.

Intelligent HYbrid4 technology recovers kinetic energy stored in lithium-ion batteries, to be redeployed to enhance acceleration, boosting the power by 80bhp, to give this ‘Concept Car’ less than 2kg per horsepower.
The much-lauded 208 GTi brings a new dimension to the world of the performance (hot) hatchback with a lighter, more powerful, more capable and sure-footed pocket-rocket performer. Propelled by a 200bhp THP petrol engine, the 208 GTi is a stylish, well-specified, no-compromise performance hatchback with wider tracks, distinctive and exquisite attention to detail features. Being lighter than its predecessor it is capable of reaching 62mph in 6.8 seconds, can top 143mph, has CO2 at just 139g/km and yet can achieve 47.9mpg.

The thundering new C 63 AMG Edition 507 will be available in the UK from July as a Saloon, Estate and Coupe packing an extra 50 hp and 10 Nm of torque over the standard Mercedes C 63 AMG models.
The extra horsepower and torque allows the Edition 507 to reach 62 mph in just 4.2 seconds (4.3 seconds for the Estate) and thanks to the AMG Drivers Package, which derestricts the top speed, powers on up to an electronically limited top speed of 280 km/ h.
The C 63 AMG Edition 507 also has greater style to match the substance. It is instantly recognisable thanks to 19” AMG Cross-Spoke alloy wheels with a Titanium finish, a high performance composite brake system with red brake callipers and an AMG bonnet with power domes and air outlets finished in a high black gloss borrowed from the mighty C 63 AMG Black Series Coupe.

The high gloss black exterior mirrors, radiator grille and front apron complete the exterior finish along with an AMG Sports Stripe in matt graphite grey which is featured on the side of the car. The Saloon also features an AMG boot lid spoiler.
Exclusivity is not only for the outside of the car. On the inside the Edition 507 features designo Black Leather as standard or customers can choose between the optional designo Porcelain Leather with Black Dinamica and contrast stitching or the designo Black Leather with Black Dinamica as a no cost option.
The AMG Performance Steering Wheel is also fitted as standard and is complemented by Edition 507 badging on the dash and AMG high black gloss trim while the door panels and the emblem embossed gearshift lever are finished in Dinamica and the AMG instrument cluster features red accents.
On top of all the exclusive styling and enhanced performance the addition of the AMG Drivers Package not only gives the driver an increased top speed of 174 mph, but also includes attendance at an AMG BASIC Training Power and Passion Event so the driver can learn how to get the most out of their own car.
The one and a half day course is held at one of five renowned racetracks in Germany, Bilster Berg Race Resort, Nurburgring GP, Hockenheimring, Sachsenring or Lausitzring and covers a theoretical and practical introduction into handing of the customer’s own C 63 AMG Edition 507 Saloon, Estate or Coupe at high speeds.
Hotel accommodation, catering, a Driver’s Dinner and technical support are all included. Customers just have to cover the cost of getting to the circuit and any extra insurance costs required for track use. Should customers not want to use their own car they can hire a car from AMG for a fee.

LTA has announced that with the opening of the new Marina Coastal Expressway later this year, some ERP gantries along ECP and within the CBD area will be adjusted. However, ERP rates and operation hours will remain unchanged.
This was revealed when Transport Minister, Lui Tuck Yew, visited the work site of the new Marina Coastal Expressway yesterday morning.
Marina Coastal Expressway (MCE) will be Singapore's 10th expressway and is 5 kilometres long.
According to LTA, the MCE will become the main route for motorists travelling between the ECP and KPE in the East and the AYE in the West.

The AYE stretches for 26.5 kilometres and spans from the end of the ECP to the West in Tuas and also connects to Malaysia via the Tuas Second Link.
With the new MCE, parts of the ECP within the city will be downgraded to become arterial roads to serve the new Downtown in Marina.
To ensure the smooth flow of traffic into the CBD, gantries towards ECP (Changi Airport) will be moved.
Those before the Rochor Road exit and the slip road into ECP from Ophir Road will be deleted. Instead, there will be new gantries situated along the eastbound direction of the MCE. This will be at the slip road into MCE from Marina Boulevard and on the ECP (Changi) before KPE.
Operating hours of the new gantries will remain the same during the peak hours of 6pm and 8pm. Existing ECP gantries towards the city will also be altered.
Those after Fort Road and on the slip road into ECP from Ophir Road will be removed.
Three existing gantries in the Shenton Way-Chinatown cordon will also be removed and replaced with another three (Sheares Avenue, Central Boulevard and Maxwell Road.)
According to Mr Lui, "Overall, motorists using these affected stretches of the roads will not be crossing more ERP gantries than today. For example, motorists using the ECP-MCE will only pay ERP once on that stretch, as is the case today."
Motorists travelling on AYE might have to pay more when four new gantries are erected in 2014.
Three - towards the city between Jurong Town Hall and Clementi roads - will be operational during the morning and evening peak hours on weekdays.
The fourth - towards Tuas near Clementi Road - will be turned on during the weekday evening peak hours only.
With the implementation of the new satellite-based ERP2 system in the near future, motorists might perceive it to be a fairer system with its distance based charging. But such a system will take several more years to be implemented.
Elaborating further, "Some motorists are worried that they will be charged the minute they leave home or start their engines. Let me assure you that we have no intention of doing so. At the commencement of ERP2, we will ensure that, from the perspective of the motorist, he will generally have the same paying experience," said Mr Lui.
Singapore currently has 71 ERP gantries. This will increase to 77 gantries by mid-2014.

With the three engineering priorities "Intelligent Drive", "Efficient Technology" and "Essence of Luxury", the new S-Class extends the boundaries of technology on many levels. The S-Class is not just a technological spearhead for Mercedes-Benz but for automotive development as a whole.
As with every generation before it, customers expect the new S-Class to set standards across the board to retain its accolade as "the best automobile in the world". Dr Dieter Zetsche, Chairman of the Board of Management of Daimler AG and Head of Mercedes-Benz Cars:
"Rather than being about safety or aesthetics, power or efficiency, comfort or dynamism, our aspirations were 'the best or nothing' in every respect. No other car stands for the Mercedes-Benz brand promise more than the S-Class."

Perfection to the last detail results in "The Essence of Luxury". This pursuit of the best is particularly noticeable in the interior: whether it is the seats or the air conditioning, the controls or the design, the infotainment or the comfort and safety in the rear – new ideas, their painstaking realisation, and highest perceived quality underpin the high standards that the engineers have set for the Mercedes-Benz flagship model – and for themselves.

The same applies to safety. What started with PRE-SAFE® ten years ago and continued with DISTRONIC PLUS has now resulted in a new dimension of motoring: comfort and safety are merged into one. The S 300 BlueTEC HYBRID is set to go even lower still with a cd figure of 0.23 thanks to additional aerodynamic optimisation measures. Furthermore, the new model is the world's first car to dispense entirely with light bulbs in favour of LEDs, pointing the way ahead once again.
