The boorish but necessary editorial statement...
All we ever do at Oneshift, really, is ponder over what sort of tyre, product or vehicle to get a hold of, and then review the living daylights out if it. Which car to buy, whether those pesky cold air intakes suck, or blow, or when we will ever get to drive for Team McLaren Mercedes.
Sound blatant enough?
Good, because the entire editorial team at Oneshift thrives, and exists only because of three things – cars, motorsports and automotive culture. In today’s world of advertisement driven, politically skewed reviews, we’re here to tell you that we don’t care. We don’t care if the wheels fall off a car, we don’t care if we become disagreeable with a party of beardy nerds.
What we do care about is what you hear from us. We will tell the story like it is, as objectively as possible, of course.
Our style of writing is geared towards the blue and white collared layman who loves cars, just like you and me, but with a touch of depth and candidness. Our team is aware that not everyone gets to sign out a Mitsubishi Lancer or a Mercedes S class, let alone a Nissan Fairlady or a Maserati, then drive it around for a day or two.
Where it counts, we use that privilege to our advantage – making our opinions heard, and knowing that it makes that little difference to your car buying experience, or at the very least, enriching your passion for anything with four wheels and/or a spare.
As a portal for fresh, alternatively angled editorial reviews and a hub for motorsports/event coverage, Oneshift is still, and very much so, in its infant stages. Therefore any feedback and fresh ideas from valued website viewers such as yourself, will be rather useful and greatly appreciated. After all, we expect to take as hard as we give.
Just so you know, Oneshift also contributes to other local publications and websites such as Onemotoring.com
Social Networking and Freedom of Information
The Oneshift experience doesn’t end in a sea of text, pictures and moving images though. We have an extensive social network of drivers, as epitomised by myspace.com and other networking sites, that exists with a local dash of flavour so the native petrolhead, or even anyone else in the world can easily share his or her passion for cars through blogs, car profiles, pictures, bulletins and social networking abilities – a very structured way of information sharing on the internet.
Our objective is to build and seed a network of friends, car enthusiast clubs and other related communities in Singapore and around the world, allowing sharing of information and car specifications through our extensive car database, thus enabling the community members to make informed purchasing decisions.
In any case, buying a car in Singapore can potentially be more complicated than dealing with property, or some might even say, the stock exchange!
Oneshift.com is a product of a group of driving enthusiasts who wish to see a close-knitted community freely sharing and contributing information about themselves and their passion for cars.
Be a part of Oneshift.com’s community and invite a friend today!

Editor
Azfar Hashim |
Our Editor, Azfar, may be the youngest in the local scene, but he has enough experiences, with a few publications already under his belt. He has test-driven and reviewed numerous cars. Chalking mileage up and down the North-South Highway and driving wherever for food, Azfar has a penchant for anything on four wheels. And did we mention that he also loves testing rubbers? Don’t get the wrong rubber – we’re talking about tyres. It’s easy to spot Azfar on the roads. If you see a small silver hatch screeching around corners with a bright yellow sign that says “Single BUT Looking”, that’s definitely him. His motto in life? Simply “Finish what you’ve started”. |

Business Development / Writer
Jarvis Seo |
Do not be fooled by his quiet nature. Beneath that cool exterior hides a bubbling passion for anything with four wheels that looks fast and goes fast.
Jarvis's interest in cars began with his strange and meaningless habit of identifying makes and models of cars he encountered on the road. And that was done at the time where his peers were still interested in Ninja turtles and Transformers.
Eventually, he moved on to more meaningful ways of fueling his interest by test driving cars he can get his hands on; And sharing his experiences thorough his personal blog. Inspired by the proverbial, successful outspoken nature of the typical celebrity petrolhead, he aims to be the "Jeremy Clarkson" of car journalists. Ask him about his ultimate goal in life and he will tell you, "To own a Maserati GT". |
