Mitsubishi Evolution X Caught...
Here it is folks - the latest incarnation of the Mitsubishi Evolution bloodline. Caught sleeping along the roadside, car papparazzi, it isn't scheduled to be unveiled until October, where the Tokyo Motorshow will take place. This photo of the Evo pretty much gives you an idea as to how the finished product looks like.
The first thing one notices is the large intercooler of the production vehicle, as well as the projector headlamps and foglights.
Although it looks far from the original Evo X Concept (the mirrors and 3/4 rear panels are all different), the front end was kept pleasantly aggressive.
Power comes from Mitsubishi's 4B-11, 2 litre turbo, which is essentially a development between them and the Daimler Chrysler/GM Group. Power will be transmitted to the all wheel drivetrain via the DSG rivaling, twin clutch Sports Shift Transmission.
