With the motorsport sponsorship agreement, Motul will continue to support MIRT in its effort at winning the 2008 season of APRC. The agreement will see Motul supply car lubricants, such as brake fluids and oil for the engine and gearbox, for the two locally-made Subaru cars representing MIRT in this year’s APRC.

Motul, jointly with MIRT, has also developed the APRC Team Racing Oil – a 100% synthetic engine oil that is specially formulated for racing cars in the Asian climate. The APRC Team Racing Oil is an exclusive formula designed to provide optimal lubrication and maximum power output for engines operating at very high temperatures. Armed with the ability to provide superior performance even in the most extreme conditions, the APRC Team Racing Oil was instrumental in MIRT’s winning bid for the APRC Manufacturer’s Championship title last year.

In conjunction with the sponsorship, Motor Image Enterprises (MIE) has been appointed by Motul as an authorised retail partner. The APRC Team Racing Oil will be sold exclusively at all Motor Image showrooms in Singapore.

Following last year’s triumphant foray into APRC, the Motor Image Team will defend its title by fielding two teams for this year’s APRC season. The two teams will once again be fronted by professional drivers Cody Crocker and Rifat Sungkar, driving Singapore-assembled Group N rally cars. MIRT will be participating in six rallies this year.
