We got to test the SEAT Ibiza 1.0TSI, and it felt, young, carefree, alive, sexy…
Exterior
Volkswagen Polo underpinnings, yeah, but while the Polo’s lines are straight and angular, icy-minty, the Ibiza carries more sculpting, even for the windows, with the tapered-off rear quarter glass the size of your hand.
Lines are more flowy than it’s VW cousin, with continuity through rear tail lamp housings. A pinch in the middle of the bonnet creates a sense of lightness.
Little touches like the piano black B pillar cover helps to keep the illusion of a one-piece window frame, thus not creating any breaks with the side sculpting. Headlamps carry the current SEAT design language, with swishing lines, formed by the daytime driving LED units.
While our test car came with a set of rims that did not suit the look of the car, we were happy to know that SEAT representative, Vertex, ensured that the correct set of 15” rims were to come with the car.
