Audi Q2 1.4 TFSI COD S Tronic (Sport) Review

18 Apr 2017

the Q2 does have little styling cues which hint at the legendary World Rally Champion-winning Audi Sport Quattro

Audi says that their new Q2 is The #Untaggable car. Well, we’d like to think it not that true. Oneshift’s Clifford Chow takes Audi’s curious compact Crossover/SUV/Thing for a ride, and gives you and his 2 cents worth.

Boxy, origami, side styling, a larger-than-life front grille, sleek headlamps, and slightly bulging wheel arches with trims, gives the car more visual girth than its one-step-higher Q3 sibling. The 4121mm length is however 267mm shorter than the Q3.

The Q3 comes across as a miniaturised Q5, while being civilised, comforting, quiet. The Q2 on the other hand, is the kid with the big fat art brush, painting the town red (in our test car, it was almost in a literal sense) telling the world, “I’m here!”

Fat art brushes aside, the Q2 does have little styling cues which hint at the legendary World Rally Champion-winning Audi Sport Quattro, and perhaps in a way, the R8, with their colour customisable side blade on the C pillar.

Rear tail lamps are heavily sculpted, featuring a tiny set of Audi’s signature dynamic turn signal lights. A very neat touch.

Sold my car withing a few days. Fast process. However, be ready for dealers to slash price saying need to change tyre, need to repaint, etc during viewing.
