Renault Grand Scenic 1.5T dCI Review
The Original Magic Seats... The Renualt Grand Scenic

Introduction

Less bonnet means a little more windshield. Up on the top, one of the largest panoramic sunroofs we have seen in its class

It was during the 80s that Renault brought the concept of a vehicle which could carry the extended family, and brought with it the spoils of armchair comfort (well almost), minivan practicality, car-like handling and targeted the middle-class family. The Espace, was an instant hit, and very soon, the Japanese and other manufacturers caught on to this new trend, and the rest was history.

In a span of 30 years, look anywhere on the road, and you’d find an MPV of some sort plying our roads. SUVs were not spared this extra +2 seating, with the likes of the Audi Q7 and Nissan Xtrail adopting the ability to do the people-moving thing…

I Mean Those Rims are Huge!
The new Grand Scenic carries with it a new take to the 2-box design. Near toy-like proportions, thanks to those stylish extra-large 20” rims which fit snugly into those “wheel holes” would mean that the compact MPV carries a more premium look, yet somehow, coming across as cute. Carrying over one of the good things which the original Espace did introduce, the front fenders and rear boot panel are plastic, a good way to reduce weight, but more importantly, there to reduce the effects of shopping trolley-inflicted damage.

Rear styling and tail lamp design is quite a departure from the R-Space concept that the new car is based on. The LED units are L-shaped, with their lenses fusing upward with the rear wing, which incorporates the third brake lamp.

Less bonnet means a little more windshield. Up on the top, one of the largest panoramic sunroofs we have seen in its class.

Good response and support from Angie at One Shift when I wanted to sell off my old Camry which was due to be scrapped in early February. Would recommend this platform for those wanting to buy or sell their cars.
