BMW 3 Series Sedan 318i Review
Basically speaking...

Quality in abundance, even in its entry-level form

BMW 318i

"This car's not that bad" were the first five words I uttered after driving off PML's swanky Alexandra Road showroom in the 318i. After all, its interior feels typically BMW - solid and mostly leathered. And it moves off eagerly, willing to keep up with traffic.

Now some might think I'm sounding a tad enthusiastic for the car, but I have a good reason to rave about this 318i. It's the "base model" (read: cheapest) in the local 3 Series line-up, but initial impression sure doesn't give off such vibes.

So finally, now all you fans of the blue roundel have something to be glad about. If before this you can only dream of owning an executive sedan from BMW, well, now's the chance...

There's nothing much visually to tell it apart from the rest of the 3 Series range. Ok, so the puny 16-inch alloys and "318i" badge on the boot lid are giveaways, but everything else still remains.

The face sports the "2009 look", with the bulged bonnet, LED-happy headlamp assembly, sportier front bumper and slightly resized twin-kidney grills. Its rear gets the redesigned tail-lamp, pronounced bumper, BUT with an unflattering exhaust tip...

Sold my car withing a few days. Fast process. However, be ready for dealers to slash price saying need to change tyre, need to repaint, etc during viewing.
