BMW M Series M3 Competition Coupe, Porsche 911 Carrera S 3.8 PDK Review
A clash of titans

When the call came for this twin test, it left me in a bit of a dilemma. Why you ask? Well, when it comes to German performance cars, the 911 and the M3 form the cornerstone of sports car excellence.

Both are nothing more than diluted versions of their successful motorsports brethren. But more importantly, I hold both of them close to my heart which would make picking one or the other that much harder at the end of this review.

It’s been nearly a decade since the last brand new 911 but not that we’re complaining. The 997 in its final evolution was truly one of the best (it was the best till the 991) sports coupe you could buy.

Built from the ground up as an all-new 911, Porsche promises further refinement, efficiency, dynamic ability and outright performance from their everyday sports car.

Sold my car withing a few days. Fast process. However, be ready for dealers to slash price saying need to change tyre, need to repaint, etc during viewing.

I did receive the best quote out of 5 enquiries I sent. It was the inspection and quick deposit that sealed the deal. All in, it was a pleasant experience compared to the other merchants available. Keep up the good work!
