Kia Forte K3 EX 1.6 Review
K3: Scaling a New Peak

Introduction

Once upon a time, South Korean cars were seen as cheap (and hence unreliable) alternatives for anyone looking for a family get-around on a budget. For anyone still holding on to such beliefs, probably hasn’t sat in one lately or is a complete brand snob.

The quality gap between the South Koreans and its Japanese neighbors is closing in really fast. It should start ringing bells in the minds of Mr Honda and Mr Toyota.

The Kia Forte K3, for example, is living proof that South Korean carmakers have progressed leap and bounds. Just to clear the air, this is actually the third and latest generation of Ceratos to hit the market. The first generation was known simply as the Cerato while the outgoing model was known as the Cerato Forte. In fact, the new iteration will still be sold under the Cerato nameplate in most countries.

But a new name certainly befits this latest introduction because it has little in common with the company’s earlier attempts at a family sedan.

Sold my car withing a few days. Fast process. However, be ready for dealers to slash price saying need to change tyre, need to repaint, etc during viewing.
