With the new car, Toyota aims to attract more youthful buyers while still keeping in style with their current ones. Based on the Furia concept that debuted at the 2013 North American Auto Show, the sleek and sharp looking design immediately catapults the new Corolla into the forefront of entry level family sedans.
The new car can definitely hold its own when placed next to the current Kia K3 and match its futuristic design panel for panel. The front fascia features the current Toyota corporate design that includes T-shaped motif like the one featured on the RAV4.
With the new platform stretched by 100mm, the design looks well balanced and proportionate. Making it look more like a mid-size sedan than an entry level model.
The slightly flared wheel arches in the rear also exudes a more muscular and sportier design that Toyota hopes will appeal to younger buyers. However, the new tail gate design looks like a throwback to the current Vios.
