Flagship Sedan Of The Year 2013 Singapore: Maserati Quattroporte S

The biggest surprise our Editorial team had this year was when we reviewed the Lexus LS460 earlier in the year. Despite its size and supposed role as a large comfy limousine, it possessed the sprightly pace and body control of something much smaller and sportier. But despite our best efforts at edging it towards the top, it unfortunately lost out in the looks department to the other nominees.

Whenever Mercedes-Benz launches the latest S-Class, the whole industry pays attention. Thatís because since the first S-Class, the folks at Stuttgart have been using the model as a showcase for a plethora of new automotive technologies. For example, Magic Ride Control that scans the road in front of the car and adjusts the suspension fractions of a second before the tires touch the road imperfection. Magic isnít it?

While the Editorial team was impressed with the Mercedes-Benz, our readers preferred the Italian panache of the Quattroporte S. The Italian performance sedan managed to edge ahead with less than 10 points above the Mercedes-Benz!
