Editor's choice: BMW X5 Voter's choice: BMW X5
While Audi continues to hibernate their Q7 for a launch in 2015, both BMW and Land Rover wasted no time in rolling out the latest generation of their flagship SUVs. The new BMW X5 focused on improving the space and luxury quality of the materials.
That's not to say the Range Rover Sport (RRS) is lacking in any interior luxuries. Compared to the X5, the RRS's improvements are even more astounding. Shedding the older twin rail chassis, gifted the RRS with a dynamic prowess its 420 kilos of dead weight wouldn't allow. Although the improvements were significant over the older RRS, when compared to the X5, the Editorial team felt the BMW is still the better drive. Whether in its 4.4-litre V8 variant or the N55 3.0-litre variant, it was still the better drive over the RRS. Therefore both our Editorial team and the readers are in agreement that the BMW X5 is the better of the two.
