Let's forget the scandal for a while.
The all-new Passat is a huge step in the right direction for Volkswagen, with the upgrades in luxury and refinement all around the cabin and an infotainment system that will surely set the next benchmark in in-car connectivity.
The drive is not bad either; it's not going to seriously challenge the classic German segment toppers, but all things considered in the present market amongst present competition that we pit the Passat against, it stands out as the most complete package in the segment. It has easily the plushest interior, packs enough grunt and feels just as premium while being even more cushy than the competition. And it runs on petrol here. Enough said.
