Admittedly putting the GTS model up against normal everything else competition is going to cause some commotion. But let's just qualify that the Boxster GTS doesn't win on power and speed alone. Sure it's plenty quick and has the best numbers on paper, but that's just the tip of what the Boxster GTS is as a whole car.
It's solidly engineered, well-built and feels special to drive top up or down. You'll get admiring glances like no other cabriolet in this competition, and the sound that it makes always puts a huge grin on your face. Especially if you floor it through various tunnels and underpasses.
And it's not remotely impractical either. You get a trunk in the front AND the rear; what other car does that? The roof mechanism is quick and operates even at nearly 70 km/h and the sound insulation is great. So it's pretty perfect in almost every way, beginning with how it drives so well and ending with what it can haul around as an everyday sports car.
