OneShift & Carousell Autos Staff Interview: Daren Khoo

Daren Khoo is part of the group of enthusiasts who work for OneShift/Carousell Autos.

We speak to him to find out more about his life, his passions and his work.

What’s your name and how old are you?

I am Daren, 27 years old this year.

What do you do at Carousell?

My current position is Senior Sales Associate for Autos B2B & B2C Business.  My job role is to acquire new business accounts and to service existing accounts in the automotive industry. I guide and explain to customers about the benefits of using Carousell to help improve their business.

What car do you drive, and why?

I drive a BMW 335i Coupe & Honda Accord Euro R. It's been my dream to get a 2-door car since I was young. The reason why the Euro R is because Honda built the best gearbox for manual transmissions, and it has an awesome VTEC roaring sound. As for the BMW 335i Coupe, which is my second car, I chose it  because of its N54 engine and its looks.

How did Carousell help your car buying/selling?

Carousell helps me to get and sell most of my car parts, regardless if it is used or new, as some of my parts are not easy to get from stockists anymore. In Carousell, I always manage to get good deals for my cars. Also, instead of throwing away some of my spare parts when I change cars, I still manage to sell it or pass it to someone who needs it even more than me. 

Your favourite past time?

My favourite thing to do is travel the world when I have time to go on leave. Prior to Covid-19, I will spend my free time at the workshop to learn more things, meet up with different car enthusiasts and lastly spend time with my family.
