The Review

The Avante may not have attract the same type of attention compared to the Toyota Altis, Mazda 3, Subaru Impreza and more recently the Kia Cerato Forte but the numbers you see on the road meant that this car surely has it fair share of fans. It is not hard to know why. Priced competitively less than 50,000 there are not much cars in the same league as the Avante. The only ones I can think of are Vios, Impreza and Cerato Forte. The Avante has defined lines inspired by European styling and looks stronger than the Vios. It is not as sporty as the Impreza or the Cerato Forte but it can easily be pardoned because the car more than compensates for its reliable drive and relatively larger interior space. Driving it is a pleasant experience, the cabin is well insulated from exterior noise. The let down is the over light steering which needs some getting used to. This is even more obvious at high speeds above 120kmh. The engine is decent, it is quick off the line and overtaking is effortless. However if you push the engine hard you will not like the noise it produces. The dashboard design is unique and i would say bold with its blue illumination. It reminds me of an attempt to make the cabin more futuristic looking just like the Civic's. The air conditioning in Avante is not the most desirable one, having previously tried out the Hyundai Verna, the air con needs to be working overtime to keep you cool. This car is still better than Kia's Cerato Forte IMO because it oozes a kind of maturity and refinement compared to the Cerato Forte's youthfulness and that is more appealing, at least to me.

I thought Sunny FC was always bad? but the car feel very comfortable for its class though. I think for Toyota, only car from PI have good FC. maybe due to BM is made in Thailand. Civic FC is a disappointment, but there are some who say the 1.8 version FC is better. asdzds

Decent car with the right price will sell , the nos on the road is the best proof , i think the light steering can compromise with a 17 inch sport rim and it looks great on these car. asdzds

I know that in the past, Korea car FC will drop as the years go by. Compare to Japan and Conti Car whose FC will get better. Is it still the case now? hope that it is no longer the case as Korea Car are getting sexier. asdzds
