Reliable car and cheap to maintain. Only problem is too much hard plastic used and rattling noise coming from the dashboard eversince. Got the Kah Motor workshop to check and repair twice already but they only made it worse. Stucked a piece of foam between the gap to minimise the rattling. I hope someone from Kah Motor is reading this!!Drove this car to KL often and to Penang once and never had any problems. Changed out stock wheels to lightweight 16"rims. Improved the handling and does not increase the consumption. Although using expensive soft compound tyres, ride is still stiff but tyre noise has improved. I think Jazz is still the best compact hatch around.
Good Fuel Economy, reasonable pick up, and easy to park.
Uncomfortable rear seats especially on long drives. A/C is rather weak on hot days.
Hi Bro, actually my best friend is driving a Subaru legacy GT and I have tested and amazed with the power and handling of a Saloon look car. My kid brother drives a 1.6TS. I went to Subaru last month to test drive 'your car' and also the 2.0 manual version which was clearing at 58K (damn good price for 2litre). I think Subaru cars are different from other Japanese makes in the 1.5 to 2.0l cat. especially the boring new nissan and toyota models. Hey, my wife bought the little Subaru R-1 for herself instead and I like driving it too...maybe after this Golf, a turbocharged Subaru???(Just don't bring my wife for the test drive next time)ha...ha...ha..Thanks for your responses buddy! asdzds
Even though Jazz has the hint of the MPV, it really is only a little bigger than some superminis. The low floor and high roof line give bags of headroom.
Fuel tank from the back of the car is removed and replaced with a thin flat one beneath the centre. Creating liberating boot space and flexibilty to configure the rear. Kids may find their toy running under.
The engine is an intelligent dual and sequential ignition system (i-DSI). This puts two spark plugs in each cylinder to improve fuel combustion and reduce emissions. I can easily squeeze 16-17km/l in most situations.
It uses CVT constantly variable transmission system for seamless gearchanges. The transmission is smooth and quiet, one of the better CVT out there.
Excellent fuel economy, funky colours. Lots of configuration at the back for lugging around bulking items.
Minor weakness is that ride around town is a little on the firm side. Apart from that the Jazz is difficult to fault.
