The Review

Great on fuel economy in short stretch of congested traffic. I am very fuel cautious when driving it and tried to recharge the battery by letting the car roll on downhill as much as possible and using brake wisely. My dad however, being used to conventional ICE cars is of erratic on throttle and hard on the pedal when taking off, he gets about 11 to 13 km/L. My best record with mostly highway traffic can log a 18km/L. That was better than the little ford fiesta with 1.6L of the same year. Despite using a decade old chassie, it does it job well as a MPV, handling is appalling comparing to the Euros but better than hyundai H1. I cannot imagine driving a 2.4L hybrid Alphard/Vellfire, estima is heavy enough for that little engine at a premium price tag. Overall it offers the best value among the Japs MPV with an acceptable interior.

Strengths

Fuel saving, space

Weaknesses

Power and handling

The Review

My car is Toyota Alphard Hybrid 2.4L 2007. This car is imported from Japan on the 13rd of May 2016. So i just buy it and use 3 days. But put 70 L fuel, then i drive 180 km, it already spent 35 L fuel. Then i wonder and ask some help about this car. It means almost 20 L in per 100 km?

The Review

I've heard a lot about this car (Toyota Fortuner), that handling is very poor, fuel consumption is high and suspension is stiff. I finally got a chance to test drive a friend's newly acquired Toyota Fortuner, surprisingly, I feel that fuel efficiency is better than my Alphard.

Strengths

The interior is what I like best

Weaknesses

Pick up is not that good, and the brakes... very poor brakes.
