The Review

The better version compare to SS1 for that extra power.

Strengths

Toyota, a trustworthy, leading car brand in Singapore. The 1796cc Celica engine delivers 190kW of power at 7600rpm and 180Nm of torque at 6800rpm. Performance has a better ratio than similar car capacity range.

Weaknesses

Last series in the model range. Toyota has ceased its productions and future variances. Blind spot need accomodisation to.

The Review

I'm a sucker for a nice looking interior, so the MRS was pleasing to me, as it has one. Similar to the Celica, the plastic-ky dash is carried over. The finishing may not be top notch, but there is a good feel from the cockpit like spacing of dials and steering wheel. The recaro-like seats provide excellent seat support. When I first stepped into the car, what alarmed me was, the sitting position felt so low, i could have sworn my feet must be scrapping the ground! Any notion that the 1.8l engine was quieter than the Celica's one faded away as soon as I piled on the accelerator. It's just as torquey, but noisy and rough when i got beyond 4000rpm. In terms of looks, the MRS's got it, and seems to shout, "Get it, babe" :p . This is despite the misnomer for those who read it as "Mrs", it's defintely not for the wife :p. You would look more comfortable at the parking lot of a crowded club, or crawling slowly along Mohd Sultan to see if u can get a pick-up :P:P:P Haha, only hot young eligible men need apply ;) the MRS shares with the Celica

Strengths

- Hot looks
- Good interior feel
- Rear wheel drive feels fun
- Torquey engine

Weaknesses

- No space (at all!) for grocery shopping
- No space if u need to fetch 'girlfriends' :p
