Owned a second-hand one for about 2 months now. Did a CVT oil and engine oil change. Smooth drive and better FC compared to vios, although CVT takes a bit getting used to when it comes to powering and overtaking. Very excellent cruiser. Also, there's a sort of 'shift' if you move off from standstill at very light throttle ones the speedo touches 20-30kmh. Handling however, is light and floaty, but I'll revisit this again once I replace the shocks, which are probably worn by now

The Review

Bought the new Corolla Altis Classic as my old one is coming to a decade. Overall experience is good. A couple of weakness though. Cheap interior plastic can be found in some parts of the car, and they do make some squeaky noise when you apply pressure on them. Steering wheel is a bit sluggish, while it does make the car more responsive. Lastly, price is a bit steep taking in the fact that it is made in Thailand. Due to its spacious boot and rear passenger seat's leg room, it is still a good family car nonetheless.

Strengths

Spacious, good fuel consumption. Good pick-up speed compared to the previous generation of Corolla.

Weaknesses

Cheap interior plastic, quite pricey for a car that is made in Thailand, sluggish steering wheel.

A GOOD CAR FOR A FAMILLY OR SINGLE PERSON

OVER ALL THIS CAR IS A BUYERS CAR.AND DESPITE ITS FEW WEAKNESSES,THIS CAR MAKES YOU FALL IN LOVE WITH IT.TO ADD A FEW EXTRAS LIKE RIMS,A NICE DEEP TONED MUFFLER AND A FEW OTHER ACCESSORIES MAKES THIS CAR A KEEPER.HOPE YOU FEEL THE SAME AS ME.

Strengths

THE FEILDER IS A CAR THAT HAS MUCH TO OFFER ,IT HAS MULTIPLE USES,CAN BE USED FOR WORK AND OR PLAY,LOOKS GREAT AND VERY FUEL EFFICIENT.HANDLES GREAT,ACCELERATION GOOD,BRAKES WELL WITH LOAD OR WITH OUT.DRIVING POSITIONS CAN BE SET TO ALMOST SUV LIKE FEEL.NOT A QUITTER WHEN PUT UP AGAINST OTHER VEHICLES IN OR OUT OF ITS CLASS.GOOD STAYING POWER.

Weaknesses

THE FEILDER TENDS TO LAG A BIT BEFORE PULLING UP A HILL IF MOMENTOM WAS NOT ACHEIVED.THERE IS A WHINING NOISE WHEN POWERED ABOVE 3000 RPM.LEG ROOM IS A BIT TIGHT FOR REAR PASSENGERS.
