Certificate of Entitlement (COE) premiums ended lower in its latest bidding exercise on Wednesday (January 5), with all categories posting lower prices except for Cat D (motorcycles).

The latest premium for Category A cars, or those 1,600cc and below with horsepower not exceeding 130bhp decreased by 2 per cent from S$58,801 to $57,599.
Premiums for large cars (above 1,600cc or 97kW) also ended lower in the latest tender by 4 per cent, from $80,989 in the previous bidding exercise to $77,700.
Meanwhile, COEs for commercial vehicles, including goods vehicles and buses, go down by 4 per cent to S$42,200.
And in the open category, which can be used for any type of vehicles, premiums also eased by 1.7 per cent to S$82,501.
In the motorcycle category, premiums bucked the trend and went up to S$9,689 from S$9,601 previously.
