OneShift "Guess the COE" Giveaway Terms & Conditions

1.OneShift Pte Ltd's ("OneShift") OneShift "Guess the COE" Giveaway campaign (the "Campaign") commences on 23 January 2025 and ends on 17 December 2025 (both dates inclusive) (the "Campaign Period"). By participating in the Campaign, you shall be deemed to have accepted and agreed to abide by these terms & conditions ("Terms & Conditions"). All capitalised terms not otherwise defined herein shall have the meaning ascribed to the same in our Terms of Service.

Eligibility

2.To participate in the Campaign and qualify as an eligible OneShift user (each, referred to as an "Eligible OneShift User" and collectively the "Eligible OneShift Users"), you must

  • 2.1.reside in Singapore; and
  • 2.2.complete the Campaign Form located at OneShift.com by:
    • 2.2.1.guessing what the COE prices for each of the five different COE categories (i.e. Categories A, B, C, D and E) would be in respect of the next upcoming COE results to be released (each release of COE results, a “COE Results Release”). For the avoidance of doubt, it is not mandatory to provide guesses for all five different COE categories in order to complete the Campaign Form; and
    • 2.2.2.providing all the required information to the satisfaction of OneShift
    • within the Guessing Period. The “Guessing Period” shall commence at 12pm (Singapore Time) on the Thursday immediately following each COE Results Release and shall end at 12pm (Singapore Time) on the day of the next COE Results Release. For example, assuming the next upcoming COE Results Release is on 5 February 2025 (Wednesday), the Guessing Period in result of this would be from 23 January 2025 (Thursday), 12pm to 5 February 2025 (Wednesday), 12pm.

3.OneShift will determine the winners (each, referred to as a "Winner" and collectively "Winners") as follows:

  • 3.1.for each COE category, the Winner will be determined based on the Eligible OneShift User that submitted the closest COE price guess for such COE category;
  • 3.2.there shall only be one Winner for each COE category. For the avoidance of doubt, it is possible for an Eligible OneShift User to be the Winner of more than one COE category; and
  • 3.3.in the event multiple Eligible OneShift Users submitted the same closest guess for any such COE category, the Winner for such COE category shall be the Eligible OneShift User that submitted his or her Campaign Form the earliest.

4.Without limiting the generality of the above provision:

  • a.OneShift reserves the right to draw a reserve Winner to substitute the Winner if (a) he is deemed uncontactable or does not respond to the winning notification within 7 days or (b) OneShift believes that the Eligible OneShift User has acted in violation of these Terms & Conditions.
  • b.the following persons shall not be eligible to participate in the Campaign: (a) directors or employees/staff of OneShift or any of Carousell Pte Ltd’s holding company and/or subsidiaries (if any) during the Campaign Period and their immediate family members; (b) employees and staff of any advertising agency, promotion agencies and/or other persons involved (directly or indirectly) in organising, promoting and/or conducting the Campaign and their immediate family members.

5.Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained herein, OneShift has the discretion at any time and from time to time to determine the eligibility of any Eligible OneShift User, and shall not be obliged to give any reason whatsoever. OneShift shall not be obliged to disclose any matter relating to the Campaign and the results thereof to you.

Prizes

6.The Winner will be entitled to S$50 cash prize (the "Prize"). For the avoidance of doubt, OneShift will not cover any other expenses incurred from this Campaign and/or in relation to the redemption of the Prizes.

7.The Winner will be notified by email within 7 days from the applicable COE Results Release date, unless otherwise notified by OneShift ("Notification Date").

8.Identity verification must be provided by the Winner at the point of Prize collection. If OneShift is unable to properly verify the identity of the Winner, such Prize will be automatically forfeited without liability to the Eligible OneShift User and OneShift reserves the right to draw a reserve Winner to substitute the Winner.

9.OneShift reserves the right to substitute or replace any Prizes issued under the Campaign with any other Prizes of similar value without prior notice, without liability to the Eligible OneShift User.

General

10.OneShift's determination of the Winner(s) shall be final, conclusive and binding. No correspondence or claims will be entertained.

11.OneShift shall not be liable in any way for any injury, loss, damage or expense arising out of or in connection with the Campaign, however so arising, including without limitation, any loss, (including lost opportunities), arising from any late or non-notification, any technical hardware or software breakdown, malfunction or defects, failed delayed or incorrect transactions, lost or unavailable network connections or any notice that is lost or misdirected.

12.By participating in this Campaign, you agree to release and hold OneShift harmless from any and all liability whatsoever for any injuries, losses, harm or damages of any kind to any person or property arising from or in connection with, either directly or indirectly:

  • 12.1.the awarding, acceptance, receipt, possession, use or misuse of any Prizes awarded pursuant to this Campaign; and
  • 12.2.the participation in the Campaign.

13.By participating in the Campaign, you will be deemed to have fully read, understood and agreed to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and any other requirements set out in any related promotional material and all amendments, additions, replacements, modifications as may be made from time to time by OneShift.

14.You consent, under the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 of Singapore, to the collection, use and disclosure of your personal data, as provided for this Campaign, by/to OneShift and such other third party as OneShift may reasonably consider necessary as follows:

  • 14.1.for the purposes of processing your application under the Campaign and purchasing the Prizes (if applicable);
  • 14.2.to announce the Winner(s); and
  • 14.3.to contact and/or notify the relevant Eligible OneShift User of any updates regarding the Campaign and/or to collect/deliver the Prizes (via email); and each Eligible OneShift User confirms that they agree to be bound by the terms of the OneShift Privacy Policy.

15.You further agree that OneShift may collect, use and/or disclose your personal data to its partners/affiliates, and/or other third party service providers that OneShift may engage from time to time, for the purposes of:

  • 15.1.sending you marketing and/or promotional materials on the latest products and services of OneShift or carefully selected third parties;
  • 15.2.sending you occasional updates for special promotions, events and related activities organised or co-organised by OneShift.
  • 15.3.to contact and/or notify the relevant Eligible OneShift User of any updates regarding the Campaign and/or to collect/deliver the Prizes (via email); and each Eligible OneShift User confirms that they agree to be bound by the terms of the OneShift Privacy Policy.
  • OneShift will not disclose your personal data to third parties except as provided herein or in accordance with the OneShift Privacy Policy. Should you wish at any time to withdraw your consent for the collection, use and/or disclosure of your personal data, please send an email to dpo@thecarousell.com.

16.OneShift may, at any time at its sole discretion and without prior notice, vary, modify, delete or add to these Terms & Conditions (including the Campaign Period and the conduct of the Campaign) and may also suspend and/or terminate the Campaign or substitute the Prizes at any time without any notice or liability to any person.

17.In the event of any inconsistency between these Terms & Conditions and any brochures, marketing or promotional materials relating to the Campaign, these Terms & Conditions shall prevail.

18.If any part of the Terms & Conditions is found by a court of Singapore to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, then such part shall be subjected to amendment or deletion from the remainder of the Terms & Conditions, which shall continue to be valid and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law.

19.A person who is not an Eligible OneShift User may not enforce any of these Terms & Conditions under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act of Singapore and notwithstanding any term herein, the consent of any third party is not required for any variation (including any release or compromise of any liability) or termination of these Terms & Conditions.

20.These Terms & Conditions are subject to Singapore law and you hereby submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
