Oneshift Car of the Year 2014 results are out!

After weeks of voting where passionate readers like yourself voted, the results for Oneshift’s 2014 Car of the Year awards has been released!  It was not easy picking out the winners especially with numerous strong contenders in each category. Nevertheless our stringent voting process ensured that the winners of each of the categories are the most deserving and free from any vested interests or commercial influence.

The winner selection in each category is partially determined by your votes as well as our Editorial input with each given 50:50 weightage.

Here are the winners...

The car that won Oneshift Car of the Year is the Hyundai Genesis. Hyundai is the first to break the winning streak that the Germans have held for the past six years.

Although the German marques didn't clalim the overall win, they still picked up a number of awards in the other categories.

This year saw some surprising results. While the Hyundai Genesis is the Oneshift Car of the Year, the Mercedes-Benz C200 took the win from the Genesis in the Premium Executive Sedan of the Year award.

Other categories were less conflicted, as in the case of the Greenest Car of the Year where the BMW i3 took top honours.
