Audi A6 TFSI 2.0 (Advanced) Review: The Executive Sweet Spot
This new A6 offers fresh design, improved comfort and familiar drivability in a distinctly executive package.

While you’ve been wandering around showrooms lately wondering why every executive sedan seems to be having an existential crisis - BMW 5 Series trying hard to look serious, Mercedes-Benz E-Class graduating from business school and getting a little too grown-up - Audi has been quietly perfecting something rather differently. Enter the new Audi A6, a car that seems to have discovered the holy grail of looking sexy, curvy, bold and flawless… without ever seeming like it’s trying too hard.
And honestly? It makes the 5 Series look a bit sedate and predictable, while the E-Class feels like it’s already planning its retirement.
This one, however? This one understands the brief.

Design Direction That Works
Audi’s latest design language has been one of those “slow burn, then suddenly wow” evolutions; and the new A6 is where everything clicks. The proportions are balanced, the surfacing is smooth but athletic, and the curves are confident without being flashy - think well-tailored Italian suit instead of athleisure. The shoulder line glides elegantly to the rear, the grille feels assertive rather than aggressive, and the LED lighting signature makes the whole car look like it belongs in a high-budget sci-fi thriller.
Complete the look with those 19-inch wheels - perfectly sized, beautifully styled - and you have a sedan that delivers major “executive who has his life together” energy. If you're in your 30s, not quite ready for the EV transition, and you want a daily that impresses your business associates and the missus’s friends (very important), this one hits the mark with Germanic precision. Kudos, Audi, design and style are very much your game.

The Inside Story
Its interior feels like a major step forward. The large digital cluster ahead of the driver has crisp, sharp graphics that make you feel like you’re piloting something futuristic. But here’s the kicker: Audi still understands that not everything belongs in the touchscreen.
You get a proper physical volume knob, there’s a real button for the engine auto start/stop, the air-con vents are adjusted manually; yes, physically choosing where your wind blows like a normal human being rather than digging through 20-odd menus. It’s a refreshing, very welcome mix of modern tech and good old practicality.
I also love the driver-exclusive control panel on the door. Door lock, rear door child safety lock, mirror adjustments, rear foglamp switch and seat memory controls; all sensibly placed exactly where your hand naturally rests. It feels like the interior was designed by someone who actually drives.

Rear passengers? They’re in for a treat too. The seats offer that ideal combination of plushness and support, with good legroom and even better foot space. Whether you’re chauffeuring colleagues or the extended family, nobody’s going to complain. Audi has always been strong in cabin quality, but this A6 really shows they understand comfort as well as they understand premium.
Open the door… no, wait, you don’t even need to close it properly. Let your young child do their enthusiastic half-hearted push, because the A6 now features soft-closing doors on all four sides. The car will quietly and politely shut them for you, like a butler that came with your COE.
Boot space comes in at 492-litres; not the biggest in the segment, but easily enough to swallow a golf bag or a pram. You won’t be playing luggage Tetris anytime soon.

Powering It
Under the bonnet sits Audi’s trusty 2.0-litre turbocharged TFSI engine paired with a 7-speed S-tronic dual-clutch ‘box combo. It produces a very willing 201 bhp and 340 Nm: Fast enough for Singapore’s daily grind, quick enough for overtaking that one uncle hogging lane 1, and smooth enough for long cross-island journeys that should feel relaxing rather than taxing.
The drivetrain feels seamless. From low-speed creeping in HDB carparks to fast-lane cruising on the PIE, the A6 moves with a refined ease that feels, well, properly executive.

Handling & Ride
Now, I know what you're thinking: Big front-wheel-drive sedan? Sure, sounds like a recipe for understeer. But the A6 surprises.
Despite its size, it corners with confidence and a hint of athleticism. Body roll? Barely noticeable. Grip? Solid. And it only begins to understeer mildly when the corner tightens and you refuse to lift your right foot (don’t pretend you don’t do this). The fact that it still feels balanced shows that Audi hasn’t lost the handling essence that made their sedans so likeable over the years.
Brakes are top-notch too. Responsive, grippy, and more than capable of bringing everything to a halt when some inconsiderate fellow decides to squeeze into your safety gap like it’s a Black Friday aisle.

Smart Safety
The A6 is loaded with active safety features that are easy to understand and genuinely useful. You get forward collision warning with braking intervention for vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists - helpful when someone decides to jaywalk like they have nine lives. Next, lane departure warning keeps you from drifting out of your lane if you forgot to check your blind spot or got distracted while… erm… selecting your Spotify playlist.
These systems don’t nag; they quietly protect.

Final thoughts
The Audi A6 TFSI 2.0 Advanced is not trying to be the sportiest, nor the flashiest, nor the flash-your-wealth sedan. It is the one that finds a very rare sweet spot: Stylish without being loud, premium without being pretentious, modern without being complicated. It is the executive sedan for those who want something timeless, comfortable and quietly impressive.
In a world obsessed with EV hype and overly dramatic styling, the A6 feels like the confident, well-dressed adult in the room. And sometimes, that’s exactly what you want.
If you’re in your 30s and 40s, want a sexy executive daily, aren’t ready for the EV leap, and need something that impresses the right people - this is it. Audi nailed it.
