Audi RS4 Avant 4.2 FSI quattro S-tronic Review: Red baron

Audi RS4 Avant 4.2 FSI quattro S-tronic Review: Red baron

The RS4 is Audi’s answer to the BMW M3. Part of the exclusive high revving V8 club, we take Ingolstadt’s latest generation out for one helluva impression both on the road and around the Sepang F1 circuit.

What we like:
pros
Understated exterior coupled with practical interior space and comfort. Together with that V8 soundtrack and Quattro performance.
What we dislike:
cons
None come to mind.

The RS4 is a perfect marriage of dynamic performance, everyday practicality and carefree handling all in one understated package. And we’ll be hard pressed to think of another car that can offer the same level of performance without the compromises.

The three hour track session only showed the resilience of the Audi. It never missed a beat despite the drivers hot swapping throughout the track session. And it still made its way back to Singapore immediately after the session without even a sputter.

Has the RS4 lost its sheen? No, not even close…
