What we like:
pros
Smooth revving and powerful engine with sporty vocals
pros
excellent ride
pros
Japanese build quality really shines.
What we dislike:
cons
Suspension can't keep up with the engine
cons
additional equipment only includes sunroof and Adaptive Shift Control. Oh
cons
and that wood trim...

The top-of-the-line Teana may pack a wallop under its bonnet, but that doesn't mean that it has no drawbacks. The suspension could've been re-tuned to suit the increased power, and more goodies would've been nice. After all, it commands a $14,000 premium over its 2.5-liter sibling.

If you're interested in the Teana and were wondering which version to get, our advice is to go for the 2.5-liter version. You're not missing much in terms of equipment, and the 2.5-liter variant means cheaper road tax anyway.

But before you sign on the dotted line, we strongly urge you to test drive the 3.5-liter version first. It could change your mind...
