What we like:
pros
It's quite rare to see a 3-cylinder perform so well on a such a wide and heavy body. Plus
pros
it's a BMW - you know that your quality won't go wrong.
What we dislike:
cons
Transmission needs a little bit of tweaking
cons
and in my personal opinion
cons
this ain't the sleekest of BMWs.

Following BMW's history of numbering its cars, I certainly did not expect this to be named the 218i Active Tourer. After all, it bears little resemblance to its swift and zippy 2-Series brother.

There are probably better performing MPVs out there that may suit your needs for a bigger family car, but the Active Tourer cuts it by providing you the prestige of the brand, as well as the comfort and power beneath your foot, all at your beck and call.

That being said, unless you're looking for a "stroller" car or complaining about the height of your X5/X6, or if you're adverse to new designs that doesn't conform to the norm, a "normal-looking" BMW may just suit you better.
