Full Support
It's not only the Formula One boys that will strut their stuff at the Singapore Grand Prix weekend.

While the PCCA gives those who want to race thoroughbred GT cars a chance, the Formula BMW Pacific series is for talented young drivers from the Pacific region an ideal platform to showcase their ability against international competition. The series was first conceived as Formula BMW Asia back in 2003 but the increasing involvement of Oceanic teams and drivers means it is apt that its name is changed to Formula BMW Pacific.
The cars raced in the series are single seat open wheelers powered by a BMW motorcycle engine. All the cars are similar but participants are allowed limited adjustments on the car to suit their driving styles.

Formula BMW Pacific plays a big part in nurturing young drivers into future single seater stars. Ex-Formula BMW Asia BMW champions like Hong Kong's Marchy Lee (who will be racing in the PCCA at the Singapore GP) and China ‘s Ho-Pin Tung have gone on to test for Formula One teams after their stint in the series.

In addition to the PCCA and Formula BMW races, the official event programme also lists that at 20:10 on Saturday evening, there'll be what is listed as ‘President's Charity Drive'. This event should be major eye candy for Ferrari fans as a Ferrari 599XX specially flown in for the event will lead a convoy of Ferrari road cars driven by their respective owners who have donated money to charity.

With a full programme of support races and track side activities as the curtain raiser to the Formula One race during Singapore Grand Prix weekend, it looks like it will pay to be kiasu and get to the track early to enjoy close racing during the three days of action!
