Nissan’s mid-sized SUV will see much-needed heavy styling revisions the later part of this year, before a full model change happens in a few years from now.

New frontal styling features a more robust-looking ‘V-motion’ grille, and LED headlights with Daytime Running Lights in Nissan’s new Boomerang styling, together with a bolder front bumper creates a beefier look up in front.

Across the base of both front and rear doors, the X-Trail also gets chrome mouldings.

The X-Trail gets a sporty D-shaped steering wheel, replacing the bland-looking one in the previous model, featuring a V-shaped chrome strip, echoing the theme on the front grille.

On the Inside

Adding to the dash quality, there will be leather stitching which will also be included on the centre armrest.

The X-Trail will retain its 5+2 seater arrangement.

The X-Trail will be powered by the same 2.0 litre engine producing 144bhp, and mated to a CVT transmission.

For added safety, the X-Trail will also feature Intelligent Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection, ensuring that even with a taller ride height, driving the X-Trail will be as easy as driving a normal sedan.

New Nissan Intelligent Mobility Technologies

With the frontal radar unit, the X-Trail will also be able to warn you about a possible collision from the front, and perform emergency braking if the need arises.
