OneShift & Carousell Autos Staff Interview: Charwin.T

We speak to him to find out more about his life, his passions and his work.

I'm Charwin.T, 38 years old.

I take care of country marketing and trade engagement for the automotive segment in Carousell.

I drive a 2012 Subaru BR-Z. Few reasons why this is my car of choice:

- It’s the dated version of the famous Initial D AE86 that focuses on weight, agility and it’s not commonly seen on the roads of Singapore. Plus it's the iconic car that made the world phenomenon Rocket Bunny famous.
- Driving a RWD is just pure fun. I've been influenced by D1GP and Formula D. Having a RWD with responsive steering and handling is perfect for local gymkhana events. The thrill of the rear sliding is priceless. Also, the BRZ’s predictable linear power allows me to hone my skills in the safest possible way.
- Being in the market for just 10 years, the ZC6 platform is still fresh and has tons of parts available worldwide. I wouldn’t need to worry about sourcing parts or stock piling them.

Carousell has always been a part of my car ownership journey. I use it mainly to source car accessories, car parts and other automotive related services. I have even sold my previous car (at the price i want) and bought my BRZ on Carousell.

I spend my time on extreme sports e.g trials and trails riding, as well as being the occasional RC drifter.
