The Pit opens!

After much anticipation from fans of the Mitsubishi brand, Cycle & Carriage finally open the doors to the Ralliart Pit - to much fanfare

Then, at the auspicious hour, Guests-of-honour, Mr Hideo Senko (Manager, General Affairs & Administration Group, Ralliart Inc) together with Mr SC Chiew (Jardine Cycle & Carriage Group Finance Director) and Mr Alvyn Ang (General Manager, Mitsubishi Operations) were escorted to the “Taru”(a sake drum) by a Mitsubishi Race Queen to perform the traditional Japanese sake opening ceremony. With wooden mallets in their hands, the guests-of-honourbroke open the wooden Tarulid while donning traditional Japanese Happicoats. It was followed by a dramatic curtain drop and colourful confetti to markthe official opening of the new Ralliart Pit.

Rhythmic drumbeats from a spectacular “Taiko”drum performance filled the ambience of the evening. After the drum performance, the VIPs and guests wereushered into the new Ralliart Pit for a guided tour of the range of cars,accessories and merchandise. Three Mitsubishi Race Queens posed with theLancer Evolution X, Lancer EX and Colt Version R, which were all dressed-upand displayed in the Pit. Also not missed were photo opportunities, as guests couldtake home a 4R instant printout of their photo with the Race Queens.

Ralliart Member’s Club cardholders enjoyed special deals on selected items such as the coil mat, key holder and other selected merchandise. Guests were also treated to a sumptuous Japanese buffet - a chef on site made freshCalifornia hand rolls. Four pimped up rides namely the Mitsubishi i, Outlander “Roadest”, Delica “Roadest” and Evolution X were also displayed outside the Ralliart Pit for guests to admire while enjoying their food.

“Thanks to the support of the Ralliart Member’s Club & business associates, we had a very successful opening of the new Ralliart Pit. Sales of car accessories were brisk that evening. We’ve also received a number of orders for the Lancer EX Aero kit. We’re expecting to see an increase in the number of customers dressing up their cars as we have a wide range of accessories to suit many Mitsubishi models.” said Michelle Chong, Assistant Manager, Marketing.
