2 Variants Of Riddara RD6 Electric Pickup Available In Singapore
It starts from S$120k without COE.

The appeal of a clean, diesel-free truck is obvious. No puffs of black fumes under hard acceleration ranks on top of this list, we reckon. While ICE cars have somehow learnt to co-exist with EVs in recent years, we’ve yet to see widespread adoption of electrified pickups. It’s a slow and steady introduction at least in the Singapore market, with the launch of the Maxus eTerron9, and now the Geely Group-backed Riddara RD6.

The RD6 leads China’s EV pickup market with nearly 80% market share. Built on a dedicated EV platform, it appeals to both commercial and private users. The 2WD version features a 200kW rear motor with 385Nm of torque (0 - 100 km/h in 7.3 seconds). The 4WD variant delivers 315kW and 595Nm from a dual-motor setup, accelerating from 0 - 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds.

The RD6 qualifies for a Class 3 licence in Singapore, making it accessible without requiring a commercial licence. It will be available in five colours, with white as standard. Both the 2WD and 4WD versions use a 73.9kWh LFP battery, offering ranges of up to 498km and 467km (WLTP) respectively.

Fast charging up to 110kW enables a 30% to 80% charge in 30 minutes. Built for utility, both variants support at least a 1,000kg payload. The frunk can swallow 70 litres of groceries, too. The RD6 also boasts best-in-class efficiency, with energy consumption as low as 17.0kWh/100km (2WD) and 18.0kWh/100km (4WD).

The RD6’s 1.9m height allows it to fit into most multi-storey carparks in Singapore. It sits five, comes equipped with Apple CarPlay, and imagine the possibilities if you intend to make it camping-friendly. If you’re after an electric van, the Farizon SuperVan capable of gulping in up to 13,000 litres of cargo could fit the bill.
