50,000th Renault ZOE delivered

In fact, every three minutes, someone switches from a regular fossil fuel burning vehicle to an electric vehicle. So much so that they've now delivered 50,000 ZOEs.

The lucky owner? Meet Sylvie, Renault’s 50,000th ZOE customer. Living with her family in Saint Cloud, a suburban commune outside the city of Paris, Sylvie was encouraged by her children to purchase the Renault ZOE for her everyday journeys. Guillaume Berthier, Electric Car Sales and Marketing Director of Renault, had the pleasure of presenting her with the keys to her new Renault ZOE at the Flins plant situated near Paris, the only site that builds Renault ZOEs for global distribution.

Since 2013, Renault has been the only carmaker in the industry to have a complete all-electric vehicle range with models such as the Twizy, ZOE and Kangoo Z.E. The electric vehicle market has grown exponentially since then, with an expansion of 48% worldwide in 2015. A total of 18,500 Renault ZOE vehicles were sold last year, reaching a 20% market share in Europe, out of which over 55% came from France alone.

In Europe, the rollout of new technological infrastructure from Renault saw more than 60,000 charging points are made available to the public and 200 fast-charging stations can be found along France’s motorways, with one every 80 kilometers.
