AXS InfoComm Pte Ltd today announced the deployment of its 500th AXS Station in Singapore – a major milestone in the company’s vision of making business e-transactions and services easily accessible by consumers in Singapore. AXS targets for 600 of such Stations to hit the streets by the end of 2008.

The first AXS Station was deployed in March 2001 as one of the world’s first web-enabled transactional terminals. Today, more than 500,000 unique visitors go to these terminals every month to access more than 120 services including Bills and Fines Payment and others such as BBQ pit bookings, topping-up of various pre-paid telecom cards, buying and collection of movie tickets and government e-services from agencies like CPF, HDB and URA.

The AXS network currently processes more than a million transactions monthly and has been enjoying a steady double digit year-on-year growth for its transaction volume. Since its inception, AXS has continuously introduced new e-Services at its AXS Stations and had most recently launched OCBC credit card bills payment and Citibank Bill-Pay.

In addition, AXS also developed and launched an innovative service called the eAssistant in 2002. The eAssistant is a free membership service that helps consumers with their bills payment while
rewarding them at the same time.
