9th Singapore Motorshow teems with dazzling displays and attractive rewards
Visitors can expect to be pampered while contributing to charitable cause

The level of motoring excitement will be revved to an all time high as the date inches closer to the start of the Singapore Motorshow on 26 September, which will happen alongside the 2008 FORMULA 1 SingTel Singapore Grand Prix. Ending on 5 October 2008, this 10-day automobile bonanza will be held at the Suntec Singapore Exhibition Centre.
At this year’s show, visitors can expect not just a visual feast of the latest automobiles and coolest accessories from over 70 exhibitors, but a gratifying experience loaded with contests and lucky draws with attractive prizes to be won. In addition, in return for all the support received over the past two decades, the show will carve out a portion of its ticket sales for charity.
[I][B]First looks at the Show[/B][/I]
Visitors at the Show will be treated to an extravagant exhibit of the latest additions to prevalent passenger vehicle brands such as Honda, Nissan, Subaru, and motorcycles by Adiva, Honda, Sachs and Yamaha. Chosen as the first stop for car brands to unveil proud new members of their family, the show will give undecided car buyers a wide selection under one roof and at alluring packages.
Spanning a massive 1,500 square metres, Subaru is proud to present the biggest booth at this year's Motorshow. Visitors will get to enjoy the exhilarating performances by precision stunt professional, Russ Swift, and his son, Paul as they perform gravity-defying tag-team stunts during the Motorshow.
Car enthusiasts will get to indulge in a showcase of stunning and desirable automobiles such as the new Honda Accord and Jazz, the new Nissan Murano and legendary supercar, Nissan GT-R and Subaru’s Exiga and Impreza Sedan range.
Setting a new trend with its sleek and sporty demeanour is the new Honda City that will be officially launched during the Motorshow, forefronting Honda’s renowned i-VTEC innovation.
Feeling the heat from the F1 fever, Kah Motors have brought in a Honda F1 car model, upgraded from the 2007 RA108 model used by the Honda Racing Formula One team. The aerodynamic design and strategic modifications to the exhaust geometry and airbox reinforces Honda’s commitment to the environment.
Nissan will be host to a group of engineering students from NUS at an exclusive session with Nissan’s key management persons from Engineering/R&D at Nissan’s Technology Square as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
Amidst the sleek and dynamic showcase of automobiles are the gentle giants, built with the environment in mind. The Isuzu Elf–CNG and Mitsubishi Canter Eco Hybrid are among the hybrid commercial vehicles visitors will get to experience at the Show.
Not forgetting motorcycle enthusiasts, the show will present the latest range of radical styling bikes by Honda and Yamaha for their feasting. They will also get to see a range of modified bikes such as the Ultra GT Streetfighter, Supermotard and Superbikes, all in the name of high-powered and ground-breaking performances.
Making their first appearance here in Singapore at the Show are the winning designs of the Polygon Bike Design Competition 2007. Visitors will be awed by these concept bicycles which are designed with the earth and environment in mind.
Another debut-making appearance is the finals for the South East Asia Bike Competition where the creative minds from the South East region will compete for the prestigious title of "Best Concept Bicycle in South East Asia".
