A Nation Mourns

On August 22, Mr S.R. Nathan, Singapore's longest serving President, passed away at age 92. As a mark of respect, all state flags on government buildings will be flown at half-mast from 23 August till 26 August, Friday. Members of the public who wish to pay their respects may do so on Thursday, from 10AM to 8PM, at Parliament House. Condolence boards will be available from Tuesday at 6AM at Istana for those who wish to pen tributes.  A state funeral will be held on Friday, 26 August at 4pm at the University Cultural Centre (NUS).
