Additions to the local Suzuki Swift lineup
There are going to be more variants for the official Suzuki Swift hatch brought in by Champion Motors in the later part of 2007. For one, an automatic only 1.3-litre Swift, followed by a Swift Sport with a 4-speed automatic gearbox.

The 1.3-litre will only be available in automatic guise and without any sort of variable valve timing, is rated at 92bhp. That gets you to a hundred in about 12.5 seconds with a top speed of 165km/h. All this for $4000 less as compared to its 1.5 litre brother.
The automatic Swift Sport, which will also be available in the later part of August, comes with the same engine and suspension as the manual variant.
It if of course a full second slower to the century dash (9.8 seconds) while top speed is now 190km/h as opposed to 200km/h for the manual.
Everything else remains unchanged.
Minor alterations have been made to the front bumper, and fresh signal lamps are housed within the winged mirrors.
