Alonso will stay at Renault till 2010
After BMW Sauber confirmed Heidfeld and Kubica for 2009, it was obvious that the two-time world champion would stay on at Renault.

Alonso was not a happy driver for most of the 2008 season.
The team struggled to get their car up to speed. And when Alonso pushed too hard, the car would inevitably break down.
Rumors swirled that he would probably move to BMW Sauber, who were consistent all throughout the season. There was even talk of him moving to Honda, which is now helmed by Ross Brawn.
But the tail-end of the season saw the resurgence of Renault. He won in Singapore and Japan, and finished the season with a 2nd place in Brazil.
Alonso will no doubt be seeking to repeat his championship-winning performances of 2005 and 2006. With Renault looking strong, he could be a strong contender next year.
