Audi A1 Sportback Concept
With a shaky world economy, the trend towards smaller vehicles (and hybrids too) is firmly entrenched. Now meet Audi's A1.
The A1's overall length will be just under four meters, which is in line with its placement below the larger A3 sportback which is 4.29 meters long.
Powering the A1 Sportback will be a 1.4-liter TFSI engine rated at 150hp. In addition, the TFSI unit will be partnered by a hybrid motor with a 27hp output. The hybrid motor will also provide the A1 Concept with an additional 150Nm of torque.
Pair them with Audi's dual-clutch S-Tronic gearbox, and the A1 Sportback Concept should be capable of 0-100km/h in just 7.9 seconds. Meanwhile, fuel consumption is expected to be in the region of 3.9 liters/100km.
