Audi AG - Best first-quarter vehicle sales in company history and in Singapore
The first three months of this year have been the most successful first-quarter in the history of AUDI AG. From January to March, the brand with the four rings achieved worldwide sales of 251,268 cars – 1.3 percent more than in the first three month of last year.

In Singapore, the increase was even more dramatic with sales up 60 percent in the first quarter of this year compared to the same period last year. Audi Singapore sold a total of 305 vehicles in the January to March 2008 timeframe, putting the carmaker on track to achieve its goals of selling 1,100 cars in Singapore this year.
Audi Singapore is introducing a range of new models to the market in 2008 including the new Audi A4. The new Audi A4 has already received more than 80,000 orders across Europe. Locally, 40 units have been ordered since pre-sales began on March 27, 2008.
“The enthusiastic response we’ve already had for the new A4 is a strong indication that the success achieved in 2007 will continue throughout 2008, globally and locally,” says Reinhold Carl, Managing Director, Audi Singapore. “Audi is one of the most profitable and successful companies in the automotive industry and the fastest growing prestige car brand in Singapore. With the launch of several new models here this year, 2008 is shaping up to be another record-breaking year for Audi Singapore.”
In the later half of 2008, the Audi A5, Audi S5, Audi A3 Cabriolet and Audi TTS will be launched in Singapore.
