Bentayga “X” Is An Off-Road Concept Made For Ice Racing
It’s based on a Bentayga Speed, with a 650 PS 4.0-litre twin turbo V8.
Bentley has revealed the Bentayga X Concept at the FAT Ice Race in Zell am See, created to explore a more off-road-focused Bentayga while launching a multi-year partnership with FAT International.
Building on the Bentayga’s mix of performance, luxury and all-terrain ability - and alongside the road-focused Speed and rear-luxury Extended Wheelbase - the X Concept targets maximum off-road capability. It’s based on the Bentayga Speed, using a 650 PS 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8, AWD, eight-speed gearbox, air suspension and Bentley Dynamic Ride.
Upgrades include 22-inch forged wheels with off-road tyres, a 120 mm wider track, 55 mm higher ride height and extended arches. Ground clearance rises to just under 310 mm, with wading depth exceeding 550 mm.
Functional additions include roof storage, spotlights, twin front towing eyes and an Akrapovič titanium exhaust. A roof-mounted electric Bambino kart showcases cargo capacity, bringing total height to 2.49 m.
Bentley is also displaying several models at the event, including Travis Pastrana’s Supersports, Continental GTC S, Continental GT S (driven on ice), Bentayga Speed and the Speed Six Continuation. Drivers include Chris Harris, Laura Villars and Mike Sayer.
The partnership extends to future FAT Ice Race events and supports grassroots motorsport via the electric FAT Karting League.
