Busways has opened the B’EV Terminal Charging Hub at 27 Senoko Way, introducing the first ultra-fast EV charging facility in Singapore’s northern region. The site is intended to support the transition to cleaner commercial transport and the growing demand for electrified logistics.

The hub operates round-the-clock and features 12 charging guns with 180kW, 360kW and 480kW chargers for passenger, commercial and heavy-duty vehicles. Busways estimates the facility can handle up to 600 vehicles daily through optimised load and energy management.

The site is powered by a mix of solar panels, wind turbines and a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), all managed by a smart Energy Management System (EMS) that controls and prioritises energy flow. The setup reduces dependence on the national grid and supports Busways’ push toward integrating renewable energy into charging infrastructure.

Officiating the launch, Mr Ng Shi Xuan, Adviser to Sembawang GRC GROs (Naval Base), said: “The launch of the B’EV Terminal Charging Hub marks steady progress for the Northern region and for Singapore's EV journey. It combines private sector innovation with the goals under the Singapore Green Plan 2030 by strengthening the fast-charging network to support logistics and commercial fleets. This allows businesses to go electric with confidence and is a tangible step forward as we transition toward a cleaner transport future.”

Aligned with the Singapore Green Plan 2030 and Budget 2025 measures encouraging electric heavy-vehicle adoption, the new hub adds momentum to national efforts to expand high-performance charging access.

The project was delivered with support from multiple engineering and technology partners across charging systems, digital infrastructure, renewable energy integration and power solutions.

Mr Martin Toh, Chief Executive Officer of Busways, said: “Our focus has always been to deliver reliable, high-performance infrastructure that meets the real operational needs of industrial and logistics fleets. The B’EV Terminal Charging Hub was designed around these operational needs, from ultra-fast chargers to integrated energy systems that keep the site running efficiently around the clock. This project reflects the practical value of working closely with our engineering and technology partners to build solutions that businesses and the public can depend on.”

With the Senoko facility now live, Busways plans to continue expanding high-capacity charging solutions throughout Singapore to support the electrification of commercial and industrial fleets.
