CARSOME, CarTimes and JACCS Formalise Strategic Auto Financing Partnership in Singapore

A key step towards boosting financing capabilities within one of ASEAN’s most established automotive markets.

CARSOME, CarTimes and Japan-based JACCS have officially inked a new auto financing partnership in Singapore, strengthening their foothold in one of Southeast Asia’s most established car markets. This comes after JACCS picked up a 49% stake in CarTimes Capital earlier this year, and builds on its existing collaboration with CARSOME in Malaysia.

Locally, the partnership will be channelled through CarTimes and CarTimes Capital, tapping on their experience and strong network across both customers and dealers. The focus is on embedding financing more seamlessly into the car buying journey, rather than treating it as a separate step.

Given how crucial financing is in Singapore’s car market, the collaboration aims to roll out more structured and accessible loan solutions for both buyers and dealers, while keeping within the country’s tight credit framework. Ultimately, it’s about tightening the link between financing supply and demand, and making transactions more straightforward for everyone involved.

JACCS, CarTimes and CARSOME each bring different strengths to the table. JACCS, a Japanese financial services firm under MUFG with roots dating back to 1954, has grown into a key player in ASEAN, specialising in consumer and auto financing. CarTimes, established in 2001, adds deep on-the-ground experience in Singapore with a full range of automotive services spanning sales, rentals, financing and aftersales support.

Tying it together is CARSOME, Southeast Asia’s largest integrated car e-commerce platform, which operates across several regional markets and focuses on digitising the entire used car journey. With its wider ecosystem covering everything from car discovery to financing and ownership transfer, the combined setup is aimed at delivering a more connected and streamlined experience for both buyers and dealers.
