CCX Special Edition

CCX & CCXR is back with its new special edition
with more exclusivity and unique spec at a price!

Koenigsegg has announced the release of the track based special edition CCX and CCXR supercars.

Bearing the name ‘Edition’, both cars will be more focused on track
than the models on which they are based on,coming with stiffer springs, retuned dampers and uprated anti-roll bars to tighten up the handling, and a larger, fully adjustable rear wing, a more aggressive front splitter and revised side strakes to increase downforce.

The Editions also get a new forged-alloy wheel design and are available with a lacquered bare carbon fibre finish for the bodywork. They also introduce a new instrument layout known as the ‘Chronograph’, which made its debut at the 2007 Geneva show.

Both cars would not have their power increased, they will share the same amount of Horsepower as the CCX(888bhp) and the CCXR(1018bhp) when they both run on E85 biofuel.

Priced at 1,330,000 euros (S$2,801,900)and 1,500,000 euro(S$3,160,100)
respectively,each model will cost more than double the price of the equivalent non-Edition car, but in addition to getting extra equipment as standard (including a lightweight exhaust, satnav and, on the CCXR, carbon fibre wheels), they also come with a five-year warranty and five years’ free servicing.

Only 14 CCX Editions and 6 CCXR will be built. Both will be featured at the next year Geneva Motorshow which will be held in march.
