China Changan Reaches 30 Million Vehicle Milestone
The automaker marks production of its 30 millionth vehicle as it expands electric and overseas ambitions.

China Changan Automobile Group has produced its 30 millionth vehicle, marking a major manufacturing milestone for the state-owned automaker. The vehicle, an AVATR 12 Quad-Laser Edition, rolled off the production line at the AVATR Digital Intelligence Factory in China.
The company has been expanding its presence beyond its domestic market. In Singapore, Changan introduced two brands earlier this year: Deepal, positioned toward younger buyers, and AVATR, aimed at the premium electric vehicle segment. Deepal, which ranked among China’s five best-selling EV brands in 2024, opened its second Southeast Asian showroom in Singapore and launched the all-electric S07 SUV. AVATR has also entered the market with the AVATR 11 electric SUV.

According to Changan, its vehicles undergo extensive durability and safety testing, including more than five million kilometres of validation, supported by its State Key Laboratory of Intelligent Vehicle Safety Technology. The group is also developing new battery, powertrain and vehicle intelligence technologies as part of its electrification and automation strategy.
Looking ahead, Changan has outlined plans to sell five million vehicles annually by 2030, with more than 60 per cent expected to be new energy vehicles and around 30 per cent sold overseas.
