COE: Cat A rise, other categories drop
Second round of COE bidding sees an interesting twist for car buyers

COE results are out, and this time around, saw a drop in premium across the board, with the exception of one particular category. Category A went upwards, and this should see an increase in prices (from tomorrow onwards) for all cars with engine capacities 1,600cc and below.
Category A (1,600cc and below + taxi) saw a jump of $1,361. It now stands at $15,019.
Category B (above 1,600cc) dropped significantly - previously at $18,890, it is now $16,290.
Category C (goods vehicle + bus) also saw a decrease. Thanks to a decline of $1,300, the premium for this category is now $17,501.
Category D (motorcycle), which was $902 before this, is now at $882. This category saw a drop of $20.
Open Category has also dropped. The premium, which stood at $19,629 at the previous bid, is now $17,905 - a difference of $1,724.
