COE Premiums Rise Yet Again In Most Categories In Second Bidding Exercise of August 2023
Eye-popping Cat E premium steals the headline.
The latest premium for Category A cars, or those 1,600cc and below with horsepower not exceeding 130bhp closed at S$100,000, an increase of S$501 from the previous tender.
Premiums for large cars in Category B (above 1,600cc or 97kW) ended higher at S$129,890, an increase of S$3,001 from the previous result.
COEs for commercial vehicles, including goods vehicles and buses, increased by S$701 to S$82,801.
In the motorcycle category, the premium experienced a decrease of S$99, to S$11,402.
In the open category (Category E), which can be used for any type of vehicles but often end up being used for big cars, premiums increased by S$4,799, to S$131,000.
